The people who knew him best would disagree with you Snaw. Its only hindsight that allows us to see him for what he really was. However up until that time the people that knew him only knew of him as a caring, loving person who loved to work with children and not as the mass murderer we now know him as.

And one must understand that 'strength of their of their military power' was not self acquired. It was given to them in the form of billions paid every year by the American govt. The latest is, Israel wants 2bn as recompense for pulling out of the land it has occupied illegally . What a freakin joke! What about all those countless Americans who live in abject poverty?

One wonders why such unconditional support for Israel. I think the answer lies in the Christian fundamentalists' belief in the second coming of Christ and Jews converting to Christianity. I think Chico is best person to up you on that one.

Quite. Let's see what these moderate so-called "Christians" have to say:

                      James Watt:
My responsibility is to follow the Scriptures which call upon us to occupy the land until Jesus returns. We don't have to protect the environment, the Second Coming is at hand.
Secretary of the Interior under Ronald Reagan. Washington Post, May 24, 1981.
