Imagine if gas were $10 a gallon

Actually this (slightly PITA) previous client still keeps threatening to go big time with the system I wrote for him, so there's always a miniscule chance that my helping him with his problems will pay off. -
BBC: Oil cools after vaulting to $135Originally posted by HairyArsedBloke View PostThe BBC has spent the whole of the ‘World at One’ programme on this issue. I have found the BBC, particularly the TV 6 O’clock news, to be an excellent contra indicator for many markets. So we might be near a short-term peak.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

What's happening about that strike in the Scottish oil refinery? I haven't heard a squeek, but at the same time I don't recall them settling their dispute and going back to work.Originally posted by chicane View PostDon't know about any of the above, but I'm sure the roads are noticeably quieter since the recent price rises. Anybody else see this?Comment

"Imagine if gas were $10 a gallon"
I initially thought you said $10 a barrel, and thought that's cheap.
Yes for the first time in my life I drove 200 miles at 70MPH to save fuel. It was like slow motion. And seeing all those cop cars knowing there was no way they were going to pull me over seemed surreal.

Here here - I used to have my display at miles to empty tank but now it is instantaneous mpg. Get about 20% more by driving more smoothly (gf loves) and keeping to constant 60mph - plus have the odd blast for a bit of fun.Originally posted by KentPhilip View Post"Imagine if gas were $10 a gallon"
