The oil industry have done a fantastic job in making us dependent. Stiffle alternative research, maintain the status quo and therefore guarantee inelastic demand while pushing up the price. We should be asking why our leaders aren't doing more to investigate new technologies rather than pamper a technology which is basically >100 years old.The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

My first £50+ fill up was in the late 90's. Caused a bit of fun as the petrol stations limit on CCs was £50. Tried to pay cash, but the girl didn't like the look of the notes I offered, (it was oop north and she'd never seen them before). Ended up using the card twice, which isn't right either, but she didn't know that.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Hmmm lets see...high oil prices...high oil company profits...high tax revenue! Gosh I think I've sorted it GB! lets bomb Iraq, fund some instability in other oil producing companies. you'll get a directorship on each of their boards for this!
