How much is fuel in France? Is it worth getting a cheap ferry crossing and taking some jerry cans over?

Edit: Just checked, 4 or 5p a litre cheaper. Not really worth it.

I want to know why it has gone up at all.
Sure the price of a barrel of crude has gone up by 50% but, as the petrol companies have been telling us for years, oil is traded in dollars. At the same time oil has been rising so has the pound against the dollar (more so) so fuel should be coming down in price not rising.

There is a group that are suggesting not buying your fuel from BP or Esso stations. This should force them to cut prices and should start a price war.
          Worth thinking about no?
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

I'm seriously considering buying an old non-turbo diesel without a common rail and finding a decent supplier of vegetable oil...

That one has been doing the rounds on the internet since the fuel protests about 7 years ago. Never came to anything as it was never thought through.
Mainly because supermarkets are supplied by the big companies.......

Anywhere from 119.9 to 129.9 around here.

Looking at going for an LPG conversion for the next car.

                  Good news

Should help make the SL65 AMG a little more affordable. It does 11 MPG if driven carefully around town.

But then it does have a twin-turbo 6.0 litre V12 developing over 600bhp.

There's something so very wrong about growing grain for making petrol/diesel instead of using it to help feed people........
