You can't do an outer join on an inner trouser seam, it's just not cricket.

I know this is not a proper technical forum like me and my friends at the sql websites have but please understand one simple point - joins are used for databases not trousers!

Quite possibly. Instead of stitching it could be that seam tape that you iron over.

So I touch a bit on SQL Server 2005 - performance tuning, modifying SQL in reports, writing queries...

I'm studying for the 70-431 MS test, but finding the books a little dry and I've been hangong out on some SQL forums.

Stu I have no idea how trousers work! You are veering off-topic. Although I do know a good forum for that.

However THIS topic on a COMPUTER forum is discussing DATABASES!!!

In that context a database join is when two tables make love to each other.

At least that is how I picture it but I am only up to chapter 7.
