The new BMW 3 series is supposed to be good, but dull as ditchwater and very common

Could get a good M3 with circa ~30-40k on the clock for £20k

What about the Chrysler 300C or Sebring?

Or a Merc of some sort

            Or a BMW 5 / 7 series?

Actually I'd love an Audi Q7 but that's more like £40k...

There's nothing sporting about the Sebring. I had a 2.4 litre petrol one as a hire car in Florida a couple of years ago and it handled like a barge. Very nice in a straight line on a smooth road though.

The seven series is very cheap second hand because it depreciates so fast, but not easy to sell. I'd steer clear of Chrylser/ Deywoo. The Lexus 4x4 is very good, fully loaded with leather and nippy with the sport automatic. Merc are only just getting their act back together with build quality.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

It's Chevrolet who are now tied up with Daewoo, not Chrysler.

Yes, sorry, Chrysler aren't much better though, cheap end of the US market, and we know how poor american cars are
