      Wilmslow was in prison once?

      I wonder what for?
Don't ask Beaker. He's just another muppet.

New Golf is out next year I believe or it's a heavily facelifted model.

Evo's need servicing every 5K and even a minor service is not cheap. Add to that your insurance and car tax differences from the Golf.

as has been said before two more different cars you will not meet.

Golfs are just so bland. After the Mk1 and 2, they've really gone downhill. I'd feel embarassed driving one, they're getting like Jags, for old men.

The scrotes that tried to steal my car walked past a Golf GTI and R32 to get to my house. Nuff said.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Indeed. Thats precisely why I wouldn't own a Focus ST. Chav bait.

In my yoof, I had three hot fords. Every single one got broken into. Maybe I was unlucky, but they are just vermin magnets from my experiences.

The security was so poor back in those days. I remember opening my old cortina with someone else's key
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Ah yes, the days of the "Ford Takeaway"...

I remember my father having a bunch of keys that would open most cars in the 70s.

Can still do it these days with some cars. Apparently it works on those that don't have remote locking, so the door lock wears down over time and any close matching key will do.

Don't think the immobiliser is so easily fooled though, but at least it's a place to sleep on a drunken 4 mile stagger home because you spent your last tenner on a pint of cherry beer.

MMM depends if you want to spend £4000 extra on a car that has a dull VW badge, smaller engine, bland looks awful seats and even the center arm rest is an optional extra...!! VW just take the P***

I love watching the sad faces of GTI drivers in my ST rear view mirror

Brilliant car. looks great, sounds great, awsome performance... Nuff said
