The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

      You're a dreamer.

If you were going to get one then you would've ordered it already, you wouldn't be asking for advice from an audience that's debating the purchase of GTA IV...

Err... if you'd read my earlier post you'd understand that I'm planning to buy either one when I return to Oz. Anyway...

Nicest Bitsamissin Evo they've done IMO, pity it took ten revisions of absolute munters.

Expect brutal ride quality, running costs, and insurance, but awesome performance and handling. The Golf will be a lot easier to live with, easier to sell and run I'd imagine but understeertastic being front wheel drive maybe?

If it's just for weekend blasts, for goodness sake go with the Evo.

Shortly after you buy your Evo, expect to have some chav break into your house to nick your keys while you are sleeping.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

            I preferred version 1!

Park it up the road outside a neighbour you don't like. Got the inspiration from Wilmslow.

As for the Evo X, if it looked like the concept version I'd be interested.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

The Golf GTI is a great car. Very good steering and handling, very practical, great engine, great seats, nice(ish) looks, good economy too (35mpg). It's the best all-round car you can buy.

Only minor let downs are the seats not folding forward very well on my 3-door, and the interior quality is not quite premium standard (but then it's only a VW). Also the options list is a bit mean -- how much does it cost VW to put in a multi-function steering wheel, or a high-line display?!

Recommend getting 3-door in diamond black, it will hold its value best. Don't get "tornado red" unless you're a chav, and only motoring journalists like "candy white". I personally prefer my 17" Monzas to the 18" ones which kerb too easily and are not so gentle on speed humps. Oh and make sure it's got an arm rest. And if it's 2007+ you'll get an MP3 player too

                    HTH

Update: I've just read you're going to buy in Oz. In which case you may want candy white after all

I agree. I've had three Golf GTI's so far. They have a classier image than the chav-mobile Fords.

Focus ST just makes me think "council estate" every time I see one. Every male on benefits aspires to own one after they've graduated from prison.
