Well seeing as my understanding of the bible is so lacking why won't you answer my request to explain this passage in the Bible:

Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. That's largely because the West (predominantly Christian) have been engaged in asymetric warfare where they have not been at a disadvantage militarily. In instances where they don't have the conventional means to fight back (Palestinian Christians), the Orthodox Church in Jerusalem is fully supportive of suicide bombers.

That's a load of bollox -- the Crusaders were excused from killing the heretics and unbelievers, just like soldiers of all countries were excused to kill perceived or real enemies.

Yet to see any religious group impliment the susposed "pure philosophy" of Christianity and if they did would be easy to identify because basiclly thier doctrin would be

As to islam,it's basiclly the exast same as christian doctine (except it's you not going to heaven this time around)

Where it differs is what to do if Allah or Islam it's self is attacked (or perceives it to be), then it most definatly is not "turn the other cheek"
