    90 minutes is a long time!

    I have given blood as st georges : the twins were born there. I used to live about half a mile away : in fact from the hospital maternity wing I could see my house!

        I did once and it was very unpleasant. I was supposed to only be gone for half an hour but fainted and had to wait the afternoon before I recovered.

        All for half a pint.

        The nurse said not to bother in future as it really wasn't worth the effort...
