For 4 of the past 5 contracts I've worked for big consultancies. I don't really see the problems people have. Sure you're there to fill a hole, but then you are in any contract.

TBH I don't really care as long as they keep paying me a decent rate....
And the lord said unto John; "come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

Worked alongside some KPMG bods a couple of gigs ago. Terrible, the 'project manager' had never managed a project and the BA resource had never ever done any regulatory work. I gathered the bank just wanted to be able to say they got KPMG to do the project and could pretend they weren't to blame when it went TU, and KPMG's numpties got some experience...

When I'm picking CVs, if any CV says the guy worked for Accenture for more than 1 year, it has an increased chance of going in the bin.

Agree, practically all my work is for the Big Cons. Worked for practically all of them and some of the smaller ones. Normally it's to do a specific project, and you leave when it's done. Very business like.

Are you calling me a liar?

I guess a lot depends on your skill set. And whether your client companies have cottoned on the fact that a cheap service often turns out to be very expensive.

My current clients are fully aware that I'm 6x more expensive per day then the offshored guys. But that I'm about 10x more productive.
