At least part of our food is tax free, namely oxygen, of which we get through about 3/4 Kg a day (260 Kg/year), so he could tax us on that too. They already do. Some of those 6 MPs who have published their expense claims had about 5 grands worth of food listed.
At least next time I claim for rented accommodation away from home I know I can claim for the TV licence, professional cleaning, and other costs associated with the place, alongside the rent, council tax, and leccy/gas that I usually claim for.Feist - 1234.
