People who complain about flat spots on their tires!

Well, it's like, if you're habitually locking your wheels up then, sorry, but I have to broach the subject: have you ever thought of taking a few driving lessons?

If you do lock up when you're braking, you really are quite incompetant. You do know in such a situation you are no longer in control of your vehicle, not that you ever really were with a habit like that on the brakes, and further more, knowing you're a dangerous driver and not seeking training to rectify your problems is putting yourself, your passengers, other road users at additional risk.

If you couldn't read the number plate of the car in front you'd go and get an eye test? Well, I suggest those that worry about flat spots on their tires and other motoring irritations get themselves down to an Advanced Motorists club and be given an "MOT" on how they drive.

Easier to buy a modern car with ABS.

It's not flat spots on my tyres that bother me, it's the missing chunks and gouges in the side walls from scraping the edges of potholes. Really worries me on the safety side as blow-outs must be more likely.

Had 4 new tyres less than a month ago and already it looks like they've been through a war zone. Only ever had 2 punctures in over 15 years of driving so don't usually bother with that tyre insurance they offer, but if it covers potentially dangerous defects it may be worth getting.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Another of my pet hates, people who rely on their brakes. Really, if you're using your ABS more than once in a blue moon, you really ought to get some training. I reckon, if your ABS is used, then this should be recorded in the engine electronics and passed on to your insurers. Twits like that really are beyond reckless, they're bordering on the criminally irresponsible.

So really your pet hate is anyone that drives too fast for the conditions or circumstances. I agree. Sometimes it's perfectly safe to be doing a ton on the motorway, other times even 20 mph is too fast (outside schools where there's lots of parked cars etc).

I hate how it's all banded together as speed being bad.

The problem is that the roads are simply waaaaaaaay too overcrowded. We need to get at least 50% of the vehicles off the road:

                1. Raise the min drivers age to 21 and the top age to 70.
                2. Force EVERY driver to resit the driving test every 5 years and have a "fee" of £1000 to retake it.
                3. Increase fuel duty and road tax into the £10K level pa.

Driving is way too cheap and there are too many cars on the road. Get them off the roads.
In Singapore you used to have to pay the price of a Mercedes to buy a licence from the government giving you permission to buy the car. You then had to pay for the car. I may be mis-remembering, but I think there may have been 100% tax on the price of the car as well. I think the licence only lasted a limited time. They have made it much cheaper recently, I think permission to own a car only costs a few thousand now. (Can't be bothered to Google and get all of this right.)

Dislike rubbish "personal" spaced out number plates, like

                  "KJ 55 AB J"

                  It's SO not impressive.

                    Although PEN15 would be funny.

As would Val Doonican's personalised number plate would have been.

My favourite for the TVR Griff was V8 FUN.

People who care lots about the badge on their car, but don't know what tires they're shod with.

                      They should be shot.

On the TV news they had a segment with a BMW on its roof, having spun off the motorway in the rain, recognising the tyre I thought: 'Continental Touring' in the middle of winter, they deserved it.
