You see unlike you I lived for a sufficiently long time in a country that was moving from communism to capitalism so I could witness practical usage of a lot of economical theories - on top of that I actually had pretty solid scientific education, I doubt for example that "theory of games" is actually taught as compulsory module in most business degrees in the UK.

And unlike you we don't assume that having sat through a few lectures qualifies you as an expert, otherwise my higher in economics and two years of optional economics at uni would make me one ...

I'd be more inclined to listen if you didn't regularly come out with economic howlers.

It is sad for me to see the birthplace of industrial revolution to outsource all that to 3rd world countries - even now Tata is buying best known UK car marques, hecks, Germans bought Rolls Royce and Bentley.

According to sadguru this is all fine. But USA, Japan and especially Germany managed to keep a lot of manufacturing - even when they don't manufacture they actually DESIGN stuff, where as the UK has to import it.



Yes and lax tax laws for non-doms were a big part of it. This is changing now and countries are calling bluff on the bulltulip of the West so now after dust settles down I don't think there will even be City to speak of - tourism should remain viable for some time though, at least until the next big London fire.



What exactly these peopla re doing? Conducting cancer research? Designing new processors? Making new energy research? Finding cheap ways to deal with bubble gum crap on streets? No - they are there to engage in complex gambles with derivaties, which is hardly brillian - totally foolish.

Here is a complete list of modules from my 5 years Russian degree - I also got British degree and since I experienced both I hold firm view that UK degrees (unless from top places - I reserve my judgement on those) are inferior to what I had received. It has to be said that right now Russian education is getting screwed.
