The biggest expansion in the state handout dependancy ever
Yes! She closed all those non competitive industries

The rise of single parent families
Yes, she got all them wimmin preggers and made them split with their hubbies

        Massive rises in crime
Absolutely, She brought the drugs in and imported the yank gang mentality

Decimation of industries and livelihoods to prove a point
Yes again! for years she forced the unions to force the industries to support unsustainable workforces on unsustainable wages that reduced their development and competitiveness.

It's usual for the zealots to just disgregard these facts as none related to her rule but if so it's an amazing coincidence isn't it?

All these things were considered aceptable casualties of the greater good. That being a money supply induced boom that made a few very rich and resulted in an economic crash and recession (sounds familiar)

Yep! the hundreds of thousands that now own their own homes instead of paying unscrupulous landlords or councils for a roof over their heads are to blame as well

Let's also not forget were it not for a war she would have been out 1 term into her premiership. Look back on those years without the tinted spectacles and realise there was as much disaster as success.

A war in which she acted with decisiveness, and more backbone than any PM since

There were no underclass before the Thatcher years, you can pretend all you like that everywhere she shat upon roses popped up, like some kind of facist Bambi, by that's not borne by the evidence. If you believe in natural levels of unemployment, as the Thatcher mantra did, then crime and dependancy are bound to rise, which they did.

It's not clever to dismantle something without the ideas of what to replace it with. The market cannot deliver everything, and not everyone can be an entrepreneur. Adam Smith realised that 2 centuries ago, and he was hardly a communist, just someone with less ego and more common sense
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Then get back to tending your pigeons!

I think some on here would do her, probably even now

Well, yes, after withdrawing our Naval protection and allowing her Minister to indicate that we weren't really interested in the Falklands. Oddly enough for such a hated and despised gang of pinko ne'r do wells, the Labour opposition suggested she ought not to take these actions, however they didn't realise that, just as with the Miners, she was actually happier to have a war which she knew she'd win than to sit down and take sensible action before things got that bad.

Good argument Diver, she was always right?

Monetarism works- wrong, even Friedman admits it and he invented it. The crux of her mantra, discredited.

Law and order- badly wrong, just as bad as new labour

Poll Tax- wrong, so wrong she got sacked

Dismantle industry, and create service sector jobs that can be, and were, easily transfered overseas. No interest in fixing the industries when political scores need to be settled, making the UK the laughing stock of Europe.

Maybe she could see what was wrong, but the methods she employed didn't do a good job of fixing them, in the long term anyway the main legacy now is the underclass.
