And as a bonus it costs a fair bit less and has 4" more rear leg room. Not only that, but the Skoda factory produces the best build quality in the entire Audi/VW group if you believe Honest John in the Telegraph.
If you prise off the revolting Skoda badges, do the VW ones fit in the holes left behind?

        I gotta say,

I think the _new_ Skoda Superb,

        http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/09/g...-skoda-superb/

looks much better than the latest Passat which appears to have lost direction in terms of styling

        Milan.

          Oh Yes!!!
A high-performance 3.6-litre V6 4x4 VRS Superb, with just shy of 300bhp, is already understood to be on test.

Yes I like the looks too, but it doesn't have the advantages I quoted. I'm well chuffed with no congestion charge and, I think, free parking in some central london boroughs.
            It's a no brainer.
            Hard Brexit now!

For city dwellers the Aygo looks like a winner. Not much good for in the country and needing to take a shed load of stuff for the odd holiday. Our weekly shop would not fit in one of those!

                  DP,

'Audi A3 diesel is in VED band B. SEXY!',

                  I think you need therapy.

Perhaps a start would be to equip yourself with a Passat.

By the way, what do you drive ?

                  Milan.

On my way back from the post office last week I saw, pulling out of his drive, Jack Charlton in..... a Passat. A ringing endorsement if ever I saw one
