    Doom and gloom

    Oh dear

Anyone feeling the project "pinch" yet.
    I'm alright Jack

The project I'm on is tumbleweed at the moment. I was amazed they agreed to renew me quite frankly. Although my pimp has mysteriously not produced a written contract yet ...

IT consultants at the very top end of the market, particularly those with business acumen, will be immune, however, and can expect to be chased by high-value propositions from rivalling businesses.

My project's got to "lose" 100 many year equivalents.

I am one of the casualties, which I am very happy about (cos the work was mind-numbing).

Fortunately, it happened just before I have been here six months so I can scarper with a tax saving.

All the contractors have been sacked from the Geneva office.

But there were only 3 of them. out of 12 local developers.

3 months ago 20 Indians turned up. I think the events are connected.

i'd take the report with a pinch of salt. These analysts have to say something after all.

The banks directly affected will use the opportunitiy to get rid of staff they don't want anyway and keep good people (inlcuding contractors).

I doubt any other industry will be affected (except maybe property but i don't know if they use IT contractors much).
