Nope. Read my previous posts for a clue - I'd call 5 years in aus, 4 in the US and 1 in Holland (Plus 1 1/2 years of just bumming around the world doing ski seasons and travelling) a success if we're measuring time overseas. Like I said, I'm here for the cash, I'll be off next year (start or end) with a fairly sizeable bank balance to invest in my plan B.

I lived in Aus for 5 years, came across tonnes of whinging poms. IMHO they're exactly the same ones who whinge here about things not being the same, blah blah blah. It takes a positive person I think to make a success of a move overseas.
Check out http://britishexpats.com/forum/ for whinging... they start out whinging about the UK... then a few months after arriving they are whinging about the new country they live in.

For some, whinging is their only method of communication and is probably a human trait in the same vane as women who gossip about trivia.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

                Too right. The cup-half-empty crowd.
Not to be confused with the milans of this world, the head-three-quarters-empty, and the quarter that is left composed of lark's vomit brigade.

Its subjective of course, but Im getting fed up with the uk. I've lived all over england, found good and bad. The thing that gets me is the weather, it's nice to have seasons but we seem to have 2 of them ; crap weather for 11 months, good for 1. Also, at the risk of sounding like a daily mail reader, I do believe there's been a marked increase in the abundance of a-holes in recent years. It does make a difference when you find you're avoiding certain towns or areas because of the kind of people you're likely to find there. I can only see this problem getting worse this year and beyond, as the 'economic miracle' unravels.

Out of the english speaking countries people here have lived in, which did you enjoy and why?
