I never really had an issue with her. Then again I took so little notice of her that I thought she was a man until a week ago.Comment

I've not come across this Denny. I don't think so anyway. Would you say extermination is too good for some people?Comment

I wouldn't.
Denny was the first, second and third person to really flame me when I was a newbie. Or at least, that I can recall.
All I have seen from that individual is stirring of trouble and hypocrisy.
I can see how Troll and Churchill and the rest of the General brigade behave and I suspect most newbies work out their "No. Next" responses are to be ignored.
But Denny's precision pulling-to-pieces of posts and personal attacks are genuinely nasty. Not random, poor-humour "Then you're not good enough to be a contractor" responses but bitter, vindictive and cruel stabs at an individual's thought processes and approach to life.
I made the mistake of appreciating one of her posts, little did I realise that in world that us bosum buddies for life, turns out I was supposed to be in agreement with her all the time or disagreement with her all the time.
.... this banning is the break she needs to get over me rejecting her.Comment

She had some valid arguments, unfortunately she took every disagreement with her as a personal sleight and then tended to try and make the argument personal.
She also has some pretty unrealistic views on how contracting works (like only taking direct contracts and never using agents. All well and good if you can, but very few people start contracting with enough contacts to purely perform B2B work without using an agent). Even then she started talking about using agents, so how much of her prattle was delusional/a utopian ideal of what she thought contracting should be?
I guess we will never know. Overall I'm not sorry to see her go at all.Comment

As for Denny. Didn't know she'd been banned until now. As someone who'd already had a warning for dodgy posts, is there a rules section somewhere to help stop us going too far?
After Churchill's recent temporary ban I already had most 'N' words on my 'do not post' list! Feel free to post any others I should avoid.Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

I don't recall anyone ever flaming me when I was a newbie... but I suppose I'd been contracting for 5 or 6 years by then anyway...
I feel quite left out...Comment
