I prefer The New Statement myself. Classic comedy.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it
Feist - I Feel It All
Feist - The Bad In Each Other (Later With Jools Holland)

It's a shame that there isn't a New Labour version of that or a Spitting Image for today.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

          I preferred version 1!

At least we've still got "Have I Got News For You", even if Paul Merton is way past his best.

Yes. I've been thinking that about Paul Merton lately. On Just a Minute too.

Merton is a bit too smug and self-satisfied - as though these shows were just vehicles for his ego and that he can just be stupid and ignore the rules - because he's Paul Merton.

He's getting to be a bit of an annoying twat. Ian Hislop on the other hand is always genuinely witty and good value.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

I can't see them doing a Spitting Image again from Luck and Flaw (that's got to be a Spoonerism).

Primarily because both were (are) "Labour Luvvies".

I seem to recall S.I. did mock the Labourazi Party, but I'm sure it was never as bad at the kicking the poor Tories got.

That's what we're missing on TV at the moment. A Spitting Image contender.

..and Blackadder, the Young Ones, Not the Nine O Clock News, Kelly Monteith, Tiswas, Proper Doctor Who with Tom Baker, Adverts with the Smash(tm) Robots, Airwolf, the A-Team, Beadle's About, Manimal, Terrahawks, Jamie & The Magic Torch....

                I miss the 80's.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Me too. Maybe that's why I'm enjoying Ashes to Ashes a lot more than Life on Mars.
