I'm off to Chamonix tomorrow morning for the week. I'm checking the snow reports on a daily basis now. Was it very busy?
Umm, you might be struggling if there's no fresh snow - the last couple of days I was there were very hot - almost spring skiing with overnight freezes of slightly wet snow. There wasn't much untracked off piste by the time I'd left - great on piste in the mornings, but definitly getting sparse towards the bottom (No ski home).

Very weird weather - had massive amounts dumped first few days then wham blue skies and very warm. Felt very like spring skiing, just not as slushy.

New tracks I enjoyed in Meribel this year,

Kings of Leon: On Call, Fans
Maximo Park: Our Velocity, Girls who play guitars
        Mark Ronson: Stop me...
Gossip: Standing in the way of control

Also, Radio 1's Live lounge Vol2. has some great tracks, especiallys 30 seconds to mars' cover of Kanye West's Stonger - which might well be the song of the year.

Agreed. These days I give compilation albums a wide berth, but this one is an absolute cracker. Recommended.
