Did you notice the very helpfull graphic at the bottom, outlining the major areas of damage!!
And judging by the graphic above that one, the pilot was aiming to avoid using the runway altogether, but clipped it before veering off it again at the last second.
Accordng to the news the plane was gliding in dueto loss of power andelectrics.
Fine job by the pilot.
The short skid is due to the undercarriage digging in to the grass and acting as an anchor. If that was deliberate then the pilot is a genious.
How close to the nearest road was this? I know M25 is there but not sure which direction this was coming in.

I dont know the runways but I know the area, to me it looks like he was NOT comming in from the NW side and thats were the M25 is the closet to a runway, its looks the opposite direction. If you drive down the A40 at night toward London you can see them queuing up to land.

Could have had M25 for N S or M4 E-W landings
