          ‘Landed short of the runway’ is nice euphemism for crashing though.

          To add to that, the aircraft made efficient use of the runway (simultaneously in all three spatial dimensions) and landed promptly in stages, concluding with a handbrake turn and views of the conning tower. A speedy disembarkation was facilitated by utilising spare exit door capacity and slides.

            They were very lucky. If you look at skid path over grass it is very short, I don't know if it was just mistake in judging distance (seems more likely) by pilots or actual emergency landing (does not look this way), but in any case passengers should consider themselves very very lucky.
