‘Landed short of the runway’ is nice euphemism for crashing though.Originally posted by tim123 View PostAt least they've now changed the title to say that it crashed.
"Landed short of the runway", was bloody meaningless.

To add to that, the aircraft made efficient use of the runway (simultaneously in all three spatial dimensions) and landed promptly in stages, concluding with a handbrake turn and views of the conning tower. A speedy disembarkation was facilitated by utilising spare exit door capacity and slides.Comment

They were very lucky. If you look at skid path over grass it is very short, I don't know if it was just mistake in judging distance (seems more likely) by pilots or actual emergency landing (does not look this way), but in any case passengers should consider themselves very very lucky.Originally posted by TimberWolf View Post‘Landed short of the runway’ is nice euphemism for crashing though.Comment

Thats the problem with rolling, instant 24 hour news, no time for proper quality control, better to broadcast first, retract later, otherwise sky news just might get there firstOriginally posted by realityhack View PostDo these pages not get proofed before being published??
