Crossed posts with MB - not meant to offend our eastern european friend (who I believe is a legend on this board) - not now, but 10 years ago I've seen it with my own eyes carts and horses were doing the rounds in most parts of the now EU countries, this was like here 100 years ago (unless we are talking about our own gipsies of course)

Main point is seeing is believing the standard of living in these parts and the disposable incomes.

the fact is, whoever thought up the minimum wage concept was too short sighted and naive to realise it would infact become for a lot of people the maximum wage !

I think they knew what they were doing with the minimum wage, since I don't believe mass immigration would have been accepted or tolerated had this minimal safety net not been in place.
