It may not be much help right now, but after looking after a member of family very close to me from when she was first diagnosed, until the end, it was actually a relief to see her go in some ways because she was no longer suffering.

It may sound horrible, but once they hit a certain level or pain/suffering you will come to accept that they will die, and when they do die it can be more of a relief than anything else.

I feel the same way about Labour voters.

Now I’ve just found out that the hospital she is in is now on fire – she’s been evacuated with all the other patients to another one – completely oblivious to the situation. Is there any more that can happen with this situation? Maybe the ground will open up and swallow the hospital she’s been evacuated to…
        That's terrible. Poor woman.

Do the best you can for her (and your girly). It's a sad time, but I always thought of someone passing as them going back to their real home. It's something you shouldn't ever be afraid of.

Best wishes to you all anyway.

Thanks again for the kind words. It had got to the stage where it was horrible watching her suffer so much.

She passed away just before 5 PM so at least she isn't suffering any more. Just got home with Mrs. Jog nd she's on the phone to family starting to sort out practicalities now so I'm just going to be here I suppose. Not going to work tomorrow - they're being quite cool about it.

Just to add insult to injury they actually showed her being carried out of the Marsden on the channel 4 news - nice one channel 4

Jog On, are you using an internet proxy to disguise your hostname/ip by any chance?

Another fine example of why you are classed as one of the biggest t0ssers on the board. Keep up the good work.

I don't think that's quite fair. It was in bad taste, true. But humour is often an appropriate relief in dark circumstances and you have to admit there is a certain black, very bitter, humour to the situation.

Anyway, let me add my condolences.
