well Shell has been having record profits in the last few years, how else they are going to top that this year?

Should be quite a bit of contract work in a couple of years at Shell to sort out all the mess created by EDS et al.
All part of the Contractor -> Permie -> Outsource -> Disaster (-> Contractor...) business lifecycle.Cats are evil.Comment

Yes, this is a cause for celebration. Shell have a significant amount of kit that is non-trivial i.e. give it a few months of those muppets and a few more months for the management to find out and it'll be fill yer boots time!Originally posted by swamp View Post

Shell have been offshoring for a few years now. Their central IT group was rebranded GITI (Group IT Infrastructure or somesuch) back in '04, and it took some wag all of 30 seconds to come up with "Give IT to India" instead....
