    Shell have been offshoring for a few years now. Their central IT group was rebranded GITI (Group IT Infrastructure or somesuch) back in '04, and it took some wag all of 30 seconds to come up with "Give IT to India" instead....

    Yes, this is a cause for celebration. Shell have a significant amount of kit that is non-trivial i.e. give it a few months of those muppets and a few more months for the management to find out and it'll be fill yer boots time!

    All part of the Contractor -> Permie -> Outsource -> Disaster (-> Contractor...) business lifecycle.
