Most of the nieve and quite frankly stupid lasses there would have been trying to pull themselves a football boyfriend (not a quickie upstairs in the club).

Some woudl be up for that, but not all or even most of them.

Lasses aren't all slags - they're not even slags if they go to a club full of footballers. They're just lasses out for a good time - which is very different to the way you blokes see a "good time".
I agree with you in normal circumstances - and I couldn't give a toss if a lass is a slag, by any definition I'd have been one too in my youth. So what, people had sex with more than one partner ;-)

But if you're an attractive young girl, going to the man u players xmas party you'd have to be pretty naive to turn up thinking the fellas just wanted the pleasure of your company. Sure some of them were, but as Baggie said - sure most of them were golddiggers looking to hook a lifestyle.

I haven't heard of any similar incidents with the rugger players, apart from the odd punch up (which is kind of part of the sport anyway). I'm not objecting to the drinking, per se, just the fact that it was done in the full footy, chavtastic, high-profile, show-biz style that now brings them into the full glare of publicity.

Snaw come on man - this is as old as time itself!!

Back in the day, the most beautiful girls in the land were invited to audience with the princes.
Women flock in their thousands to any do with Hollywood stars there.
The prettiest girls get into VIP areas in clubs.

              This do was about: -
Seeing the Man U players in the flesh
Being at the hippest do of the year!
              Rubbing shoulders with celebs!
Walking into a do with the paparazzi outside!!
Plus the one in a million chance that one of the man u players will see you, drop dead in his tracks, fall madly in love with you and make you his new WAG.

I completely understand why every one of them were there!

The term gold-digger...I guess anyone wanting to land a husband is. This term is a very debatable topic, and I'm not sure what side I'd be on to be fair (I'd imagine most lasses on here with their own companies/own careers dispise those tiny waisted, big titted fannies who totter around getting their drinks bought for them. GET JOBS YOU SILLY TARTS!!! <breathe>)
but the topic of these lasses being at the do cause they're slags asking for it for the chance of a kiss and tell story...I just fnid that appaulling.

I don't think they were all slags. I don't think any of them were slags - I don't really like the concept of calling someone (Esp girls) a slag cause they happen to like sex, and aren't monogomous.

But I'd guess (Maybe way off the mark) that quite a few of them were there in the hope that they'd manage to hook a prem player, that's what I'd call a gold digger - I can even see where it comes from, the celeb mags are full of WAGS and they're as venerated as celebs who've actually got some talent these days. I find that pretty unappealing - but maybe I'm wrong in my assumptions (Wouldn't be a first) and they're innocent lassies just out for a good time, no sex , no agendas.

That sounds like all the office parties I've ever been to. With the small exceptions of the gender ratio being reversed, and the people being well butters instead of tick.
