The Aldi £9.99 champagne is actually very palatable..... They call it Monsigny, or something Frenchy........
Will be getting that myselfComment

I've got a magnum of 1990 Pol Roger for Xmas day. I pay a monthly subscription to Lay and Wheeler and they buy wine on my behalf and keep it in their cellars until it's ready for drinking. It takes a while to get going but they deliver around 6 cases of top quality wine a year to go along with all the cheap stuff I get from Sainsbury's et al. It works out just enough for dinner parties and special occasions. The Magnum is one of three bottles I bought through them a few years ago and I've got two left. The first one really was superb.
The Pol Roger is for pre dinner drinks and hors d'oeuvres then we're onto the white Hermitage and Margaux....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Veuve is definately my favourite, being inexpensive for what you get. This year, I've got a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Réserve, just to see what its like.
As for mixing Dom Pérignon with red bull...........Comment
