doh! sorry, I was one of those poor stupid kids.

Which made me tight with money. greedy for more, with a very comfortable lifestyle, several properties. a very lucrative business/s. and very fat bank accounts
I left school at 14 by the way. grew up in a caravan, my father was a Nightclub bouncer at night and a painter and decorator during the day.
I am not one of the privileged classes.
I went into the Navy as soon as I was old enough and have spent my whole life working hard. self educated except for night school and a return to university, when I was in my forties.
The privileged that I associate with, Who I find to be lacking in intelligence and wit. generate more money by investing (the money they inherited) on the advice of people that grew up without the advantage of a silver spoon.

I think a cursory reading of history will prove you wrong. The Sir Robert Clives of this world used the working classes as cannon fodder to enrich themselves and their like. Don't forget the 17th-19th centuries had an almost fixed class divide. Yes, there were exceptions to the rule, but few and far between.

You need money to make money. unfortunately the rich have it, the poor don't.

Hence the Rich > Poor divide

Most renown entrepreneurs don't come from good backgrounds

Middle class spoilt children tend to do poorly in exams

Yesterdays working class are tomorrows middle class

I'd wager putting an average poor kid into a middle class background and he'd do just as well and vice versa,
                  Oh dear.

Name one self made renowned entrepreneur, apart from Alan Sugar.

Even lazy feckless middle class kids do better in exams than poor kids.

Yesterdays middle class replace the working class who die out. Has been the case in the UK for the last several thousand years according to DNA.

You'd lose that wager. Many studies on that one.

Threaded disagrees, a sure sign I'm right. I could buy you a history book for Christmas, last several thousand years indeed, the plague caused massive upward mobility, many of todays upper middle class and aristocracy have a Baldrick in the family tree not that many generations ago, so you are talking utter rubbish, class and inteligence are only vaguely related. Just because you are called Kevin doesn't necessarily mean you are an idiot chav. Next we'll be onto IQ and wealth of nations.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
