tony. i hand you and your wife my sympathy and best wishes too. the waiting time varies from place to place and depends on what is being tested. days, weeks, months even. they can never be truly sure until the object is removed and tested thoroughly. however long it takes - it takes far too bloody long! chase and chase and chase would be my advice (especially considering the time of year we are in). the waiting period is a truly awful time but there is hope and we are all hoping for you. -
Best wishes to you and your wife Tony, and if I can pass on some advice, that I've learned in the last week after getting my tests back, "Adapt and Overcome".
Happy Xmas to you both.Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Cheers everybody for the messages - I would have responded sooner but I was in London when I heard about the biposy - I figured the biopsy would be some time after the scan. I didn't realise that they were doing it the same day. So I left the office and got back on the train - Afterall the football was on the telly. Things could have been worse 1-1.
I think we are going to try to not think about t and try to enjoy Christmas -not sure that will happen the first time she gets pi55ed though. It doesn't help that there is an increased cancer risk associated with her anti rejection drugs. She has been told that the results will be ready on the 21st.
I guess I can't complain about my NI contributions. What will everything my wife has going on and my son who can't see!

My heart goes out to you Tony,
Things like this give us a real perspective on what really matters.
Hang in there mate.

fingers crossed for your wife Tony, hope all works out fineThe court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

Bloody hell Tone, were you a bad man in a former life?
The waiting is hard.
Be strong for her, be normal for her.
If you need support then in some small way we are here for you, and if you need to scream and shout I am sure ferret will be gentle.
If you need a shoulder then I am sure someone can meet you for a pint or two.I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Got the all clear folks. It seems that one of the anti rejection drugs she is on can cause these bumps. So full steam ahead for a happy christmas avoiding the big feckin iceberg.
Thanks for all the messages of support.
I hope everybody has a happy Christmas and looks forward to another year of posting rubbish about New Labour, agents, house prices, immigration etc etc Oh and squirrelsRule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

Glad to hear that everything's not as bad as you'd thought. Maybe 2008 is looking better already?Last edited by KathyWoolfe; 21 December 2007, 15:46.
