That's a very, very good idea indeed. Thistle hotels often have a late bar after hours for residents and guests.

Don't stay in that one - apparantly they had an awful time with bed bugs last year

If it's a decent hotel I'd be retiring to the spa/hot tub with champagne and some fresh fruit. I'd leave you younger, fitter types to party all night, I'm just not up to that kind of thing nowadays.
