Dont goto Didsbury, I cant make the doo and would be mortified that you've all been to my own stomping ground and I missed out .. plus as CM said, it's too up it's own ass.. and it's out of town..

Yeah the Palace is a great place to stay...as is the Rossetti at the top end of town.Originally posted by Cliphead View PostThanks!
Even the MalMaison in manc is great though - very cool bar.
Never stay at the Lowry - very stuffy. The pope is a tard.Comment

if your simply after a cheap (ish) place to crash out then the Ibis on portland street is as central as you'll get. Just checked and it's £66 for Fri 29th Feb
It's not an amazing hotel by any standards, but if you dont mind being a room number instead of a name then this is your ticket. The proud owner of 125 Xeno Geek PointsComment

That's a possibility. I was kinda thinking somewhere with a decent 24 hour residents bar where the diehards can retire to after official closing timeOriginally posted by chef View Postif your simply after a cheap (ish) place to crash out then the Ibis on portland street is as central as you'll get. That's a very, very good idea indeed. Thistle hotels often have a late bar after hours for residents and guests.Originally posted by Cliphead View PostThat's a possibility. The Palace bar is brilliant, as it mal maison, as it Rosetti (although thats probably a bit too funky for you doddery old farts)
All of them stay open unti lthe last resident croaks it
