Milan ..I have to say I agree with your sentiments, weird things are happening to this board...have you seen what tpd has become recently?

I have urged his Holy Ferretness to reconsider, but alas my pleas fell on small deaf ferret shaped ears with cries of bah! humbug.

Like the last days of colonial Africa all we can do is sit and watch as the winds of change sweep through this board & shake our collective heads knowing that in the fullness of time, it's all going to end in tears.

the humour in this thread is so subtle and dry you cannot see it.

I suggest, you get your better halfs (if you have them) to invest in a year's subscription to Private Eye for you for christmas and get stuck into those for a twelve months and then come back and show us what you have learn't.

Milan, I think you are as guilty of over reaction as the mods. I personally don't think that what Churchill wrote deserved a banning but then again I don't know if the post in question was all that did it or was the final straw.

This forum still has banter and humour and still benefits from both the new and the old members. It's easy to get all nostalgic about the days when Janek posted long tails of woe and the Cornish farmers made their rather odd invasion but the fact is there was as much rubbish posted then as now.

I'd hate to lose Churchill just as I didn't like losing Fiddleabout or even (promise you won't tell him) ATw when they flounced off.

Anyway, It's approaching a year since we lost Fleety who I'm fairly sure posted ruder words than n***s.
