I'm going to be calling him later today and I'm going to be speaking to the kitchen company who reccomended him.
The 20k is a lot for it, but it is big and there was a significant amount of building work which had to be done due to the removal of an internal wall and an arch. Both of which needed steel put in.
This all started when my wife had her kidney transplant and we had stressed how important it was to keep the dirt down. We had asked that they seal off the rest of the house, which they agreed to but didn't actually do. The fact that after her op, dirt could actually kill her seemed to be a concept they couldn't grasp.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
