    1. Always have legal cover from your insurance company - saves the hassle.

    2. A recorded delivery letter to the third party with your intentions and solicitors name works wonders.

    3. You'd be surprised at the number of 3rd parties that back down when you present them with legal action.

    4. Plumbers, decorators, painters, electricians are cnuts. Always have this phrase in mind when hiring their services. You will not be disappointed.
If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.

        1. Have the legal cover with house insurance as well as the car insurers

2 and 3. Might do that - although would have to put in the loss of revenue into the counter claim

        3. No need to tell me about tradesmen - just coming to the end of a kitchen re-fit from hell

Sorry Churchill - those references are totally lost on me - some kind of in-joke is it?? I hope it was nothing personal

I always carry a camera in glove compartment these days. If such an accident occurred I would certainly take photos before anyone came to sweep the guts up.

Never thought - I have a half decent camera phone as well!! I suppose I was in shock as well as this is the first time this has ever happened to me - might buy a disposable one to keep in the glovebox

                  Cheers
