Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
All IT contractors earn enough to save cash for a house in 5 years
5 years' savings would buy a reasonably nice house eh. I tend to try and think a little differently though, in that when house prices settle down a bit then try to buy (cheaper) investment property every 2 or 3 years - in cash. That way, in about 10 years' time you could have 5 freehold investment properties hopefully generating around £3k income a month.
