Context - rugby is played at a good level by a handful of countries. As far as I'm aware only one of them, NZ, has rugby as it's primary sport. Football is played at a good level by dozens of countries (And played by most of the countries in the world) most of whom are way bigger than Scotland.

And no, the arrogance was as much on display by the fans who seemed to think all NZ had to do was turn up and the cup was theirs. How many booked semi's and finals tickets? Blokes with pre-booked tattoo's. Think there are many more stories along this vein.
