There's no business like shoe business
It treads where you may go
Dog poo on the carpet's unapealing,
gum in the axminser leaves me low,
mud on my dividers sends me reeling,
    and don't mention the snow,

    NO DON'T MENTION THE SNOW!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

      Get a life Tay.

The real reason people don't ask people to take their shoes off is because they don't want to sound like their mum/dad, and hence socially isolate themselves. I can arrange some counseling for you if you'd like.

I did try slippers once, but slippers don't provide the toe protection I so crave, and besides, only old men wear slippers.

BTW I take my shoes off. I'm currently sitting in my office at home with no shoes on.

I just think your anal about telling people to get out if they don't have their shoes on.

Maybe it's because you don't have any elderly relatives in this country who visit you, but if you did you would realise that it's not always easy for certain members of the population to bend down and take their shoes off.

But then I would have to have a sex change.

I think I'll have one tomorrow.

                Actually, normal size.

I'm just clumsy without my shoes on. I feel edgy without them, to the point where the chances of having an accident increases because of it.

Unlike someone else I know who walks around the house without shoes, and sometimes socks (like Tay I should imagine).

You don't want to see their feet when they get in to bed...filthy is not the word. So much for no shoes being hygenic...yeah right..whatever Tay.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I walk around in socks or tights so when I go to bed my feet are clean even if my socks/tights aren't.

In fact I take socks to friends' houses to walk around in particular in Summer.

Get a life? Dont be so melodramatic. Its my house, if I dont want people walking inside with dirty shoes, I am allowed to. I do not understand how people could be offended by being asked, some people ask when they see the shoes at the front door, and just smile and say that it be good if they could. Some people just take them off, but a minority act like some people in this thread.

The people who are so insecure as to get offended over it, arent the types I would want to socialise with anyway.

So you think socks that you wash after every wearing are more dirty than a the bottom of a pair of shoes that never get washed?
