There's no such thing as a 3 pt turn in the Driving Test.

Dodgy, give BSM a ring, you're going to have to take the pain one way or another. At least with the pain in the wallet you keep your sanity.

Of course it will be his. How are you going to teach her on public transport.

The push pull system is a load of BS. It should be the pull pull system.

In cars without power steering then pulling the wheel gives you more control than pushing the wheel. Also you have 2 hands on the wheel at all times.

Better get some professional lessons, intensive course is the best imo. The pro will teach you how to drive and how to pass the test.

I agree. Also, pay extra for the post test training. Learn to drive on motorways etc.

I still do what (I think is) an abreviated version of the shuffle, i.e pull with one hand until I've got the amount of turn I want, then reposition hands to hold the wheel in that position. I wasn't ever actually taught to do this, this was just my guess at how the shuffle was supposed to work.

I'm going to have to try and break the habit, because doing this means I can't use the horn while cornering. On Sunday while going round a 3 lane 90 degree bend a black-taxi driver in the third lane attempted to take a short-cut through the bit of the second lane I was occupying at the time, and I was completely unable to express my feelings, due to the fact that my horn is operated by two tiny buttons near the edge of steering wheel that are nowhere near my thumbs when I'm turning. (When going straight I can find the horn with my thumbs without taking my eyes off the road, if I were to look down and find the buttons and take one hand off the wheel to hoot it'd be a half-an-hour before I saw the road again.)

Actually that's the worst feature of my car; the horn is virtually impossible to locate, even when my hands are in the normal position.

You need a 10 year old 4x4... then taxis don't tend to do things like that...trouble is, artics & van drivers still do
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Yeh, that feeding thing is utter crap. If racing drivers did that they would never get round the first bend.
