          The Yorkshire resorts, Scarborough, Whitby & Bridlington are all good.

          Avoid Withernsea (you hear banjo's playing as you enter) and nothing there.

          In the South, Southsea is my choice and Deal in Kent is nice, I imagine it being how Warmington On Sea from Dads Army was like (& probably hasn't changed much).
