I think it's a bit of a urban mythery about it actually. When we were growing up there always used to be a dirty great pipe coming out of the sand and into the sea that we used to play on. We were told at the time it was a raw sewage outlet but I never saw anything official about it.......

Nice beach and surrounding countryside (but the town is full of football shirt wearing, shaven headed, neanderthals hand-in-hand with their size 24 missus, all hoop earrings, stained tracksuit bottoms and push-chairs. Urgghhh! )
