i ruined my stove top expresso pot recently, i'm tuliped off..

left it on full gas for almost an hour, it's now coated inside with a black metal oxide type residue.. it stinks of burnt metal and the coffee is rancid..

i like the expresso pot because it is efficient (you only boil the water volume required), quick and the coffee has a nice cooked flavour..

Stove top expresso for me too.

You're not stuck with buying whatever choice of over-pried plastic pods they decide to make available.

I get my coffee shipped in.

Try Hue Hue Tenango, from Guatemala...it's lovely...

I am very happy with my Saeco. I can use the coffee I want and it tastes GREAT.

I was asking myself the same question last month. I don't actually like coffee, but everybody who came to my house moaned about being given a spoonful of Maxwell House so I decided to upgrade.

Looked at all the machines and went for the Bialetti option in the end. They're nice and small, a design classic, and last but not least, coffee snobs like the results.

have you tried it with sugar in? i didn't like coffee myself for a long time.. had a cup with a couple sugars and found it quite nice.. i soon dropped the sugar though, and milk.. also instant and freshly ground are like two different drinks, try both..

if you fail to like coffee after all that i'll personally visit you with a cricket bat.

'fraid not. Coffee without sugar is bitter and a bit nasty tasting, but coffee with sugar actually makes me gag. . I had a few mouthfuls while testing out the Bialetti but wouldn't want a whole cup of it.
+ maybe if you laid off the caffeine you wouldn't want to keep running around hitting folk with bats.

Forget all those mechanical gimmicks there's nothing to beat a Civet coffee maker.
