You could take the metro to Altrincham if swanky dining is your thing
        http://www.timeout.com/manchester/gu...3/Juniper.html

There is no doubting that Michelin-starred Juniper is a serious gastronomic restaurant…..its chef, Paul Kitching, is on more than nodding terms with genius” Jay Rayner, The Observer

“Paul is pure talent, driven by a great creative energy; a powerhouse of the North ” Gordon Ramsay

“This is truly wonderful cooking, more exciting, stimulating and pleasurable than almost any other in the country” Matthew Fort, The Guardian
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

          I'd definitely drive there though.

Have patience. In time, even grass becomes milk.

went there last month.. it was fantastic. 15 courses, all of them with the 3 fork full sized diddy portions, left feeling VERY full. Best by far was the rissotto soup.. highly recommended, very swish but homely.

I've heard that Nutters in Rochdale is also very good. Can't imagine going to a swanky restaurant in Rochdale though.

It is very nice. It's in Norden, which is just outside between the town and the countryside.

Won some award last year or so for best restaurant in Lancashire.
