How come you only mentioned it yesterday?

Anyway, I would like to celebrate your good fortune. Can we arrange a meeting? Of course, you must bring the tickets with you to prove you have them and hence deserve my congratulations.

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven

And when she gets there she knows if the stores are closed
With a word she can get what she came for

No but my wife has a ticket for Take That - does that help?

How come it's a Led Zep re-union all of a sudden? Haven't Paige and Plant been bashing stuff out together for years and the other one's dead. All of a sudden though the Take That re-union spins out loads of dosh and now they're all at it (incl Boyzone FFS).

An arena full of Rock fans in their fifties is going to be a sad and slightly embarrassing site. Heard two old codgers at our place going on about some Rush gig they'd recently been to and I had to walk away.

                .
It's because of the death of the head of A&R records IIRC.

But I agree. I saw Plant and Page on their Unledded tour 10 years ago (or whenever it was), and that was pretty great. I don't see how the addition of the bass player will make it any better, and now they're all pensionable age certainly won't.

There have been a couple of draws from the original lottery and I only got the ticket confirmed a few days ago.

I know the place will be full of old fogies, including me, but a band like Led Zeppelin doesn't get old. In fact, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones have been in better form in the last couple of years than any time since about 1977, and Jimmy Page will take that as a challenge so I'm expecting this to be genuinely explosive. This is the greatest live band in history.

I'm not jealous. They just won't be as good as they were at Knebworth.

Enjoy your evening you lucky bar steward.

I'll have to make do with the Foo Fighters next year.
