roots, I been riding the wave of the new fangled stuff since 1998, it's all I know

sitting at the front tuning it retuning it, studying the notes, opening high cases to the vendor, being in escalations, nothing ever working, I don't see things changing, there is always demand for the stuff at the front cos you older buggers are too lazy to get away from your gui and get into it, which I am not complaining about, and I don't see how your customer can chuck it out, this is the architectural direction and strategy as given by the vendor, there is no way round and please don't talk about best of breed I am on about customers who stick to the mother ship only

    all the best,

Milan 'never done a refresh' Benes.

SAP is for retards. The reason it pays well is because it is so mind numbingly dull.

        Sas,

we'll ignore that one, if you want to do yourself a favour,
when in company try not to comment on or talk about subjects
of which you have no knowledge or experience, otherwise old son,
you only serve to make yourself look silly and we don't want that
        do we

        Milan.

          Very true.

Milan did EN send you a PM about a possible role?

Great news on the extension are they migrating to some sort of digital backup system now?

            Hi Pondlife,

no, no PM's I'm not popular enough

Hope everythings cooking in your .Net kitchen

They got all the latest backup toys here.

Hopefully, in terminology that I am sure rootsnall understands all
too well, hopefully it'll turn into a longrunningjob :-)

            What about you ?

              Milan,

Done my fair share of new fangled but too old and much too lazy is a fair summary. I need a good downturn for some forced retraining.

              Sas,

Please can you point out the non mind numbingly dull bits of SAS or any other part of our beloved industry to help with my retraining efforts ? Is SAS still going ?

Still pottering along as most of the .net issues can all be googled easily enough.

Still a long way to go though and can see this running for a few years more.
