I don't think so. Just dehydration. That and the fact that I was starving.

Should've had a fry up for breakfast. T'other half is working so I thought I'd pop down to the office rather than make myself a proper breakfast.

Ah well. I'm feeling better now so off home for me.

Early start tomorrow - supporting one of my engineers who's gone out to Shanghai for the week. so a week of 5 a.m. starts for poor little old me.

Note to self, do not get pissed tonight!

Do something interesting like switching on and off different lines on the serial or parallel port from your software and connect it up to the oscilloscope.

What's that stuff that sends your urine a funny colour, and don't say lager!!!
              Beetroot.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Don't do the drink two pints of water before you go to bed thing unless you want to piss the bed.

I learned this the hard way.

That's what I'm doing. Timing some code.

                    I do.

Not only that I count processor cycles when I write assembler...

I once had great fun with a scheduler for a simulator. It was supposed to kick off different chunks of code 20 times a second, 10 times a second and so on. I was able to see how long each chunk was taking and how the whole scheduler was behaving. Was able to improve the scheduler based on the visual cues provided.
