    PO Box (Please help!)

I have finally decided to run my own limited company, but my tenancy contract doesn't allow me to register a company in the address. Is it possible to register the company to a PO Box? My accountant has told me that this is not possible, but I've found this:

REQUIREMENTS FOR A PRIVATE LIMITED COMPANY

Following requirements are to be fulfilled to form a private limited company in the UK:

*Registered address within the UK i.e. a valid postal address in England, Scotland or Wales.

CAN A P O BOX BE USED FOR REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS?

Yes, provided the full address is given, including the postcode, and it is validated by the Royal Mail.

can anyone help me with this? has anyone registered its ltd company using a PO Box?

Can you do anything when you rent?

    Must not smoke.
    No pets.
    Can't change the decor.
    Can't register a business.
Can't wear blue underpants on a Tuesday.

Why can't you just use your accountants address as the registered office?

It doesn't seem to be the same, does it? companies house says "PO Box numbers only", the other web says "provided the full address", so they are not exactly contradictory.

Most charge extra to do it.

With the benefit of hindsight, I'd pay mine, but can't be bothered to move registered address. Maybe with the next company.

Didn't know accountants where willing to do so, I guess this is the easiest solution.

Think it's a pain if you decide you're not happy with the service and want to change.
