I think 'awk' is the command you want, something like
awk -F" " '{OFS="\t"}{print $1,$2,$3,$4,$5}' sumfile
Do a 'man awk' and have a bugger aboutPoliticians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living! -

Or, use vi.
vi fileName
Position cursor to start of the file.
Then...
Semicolon percent-symbol lowercase-s forward-slash spacebar forward-slash hit-Tab-key forward-slash lowercase-g
Will look something like this in vi
:%s/ /^I/gComment

yes, the pattern is that they both contain 4 letters, I'd try the MENSA test if I were you.
