SA, I got an offer for a role through Xansa end of last year, only when it came to the contract signing it was a joke - I couldn't accept the Ts&Cs in the contract as according to my accountant some of the terms may leave me within the IR35, I tried to negotiate, but their legal department was very strict about it and would not change the T&C, therfore I had to take another contract with a different agency.

Yeh when I told the agent my final decision that I wont be able to take the contract due to the Ts&Cs he sighed and seemed resigned to the fact- he wasn't angry and didn't try to argue, so think this must happen quite often with them.

btw: the agent copied me on all the emails that he sent to legal, some of the replies addressed to the agent from legal were not really nice at all, so am surprised he copied me on them, but I sort of felt sorry for him .

I'm out doon the toon tonight though (well, in 15 minutes to be precise!), so I'll get my black and white stripes back to full strength

Interesting - Qdos passed my contract with Xansa.

I also worked from home every Friday from the start - just told the project that I was going to work from home, and no problems with that. So, they aren't totally awful (but I still would avoid them!)
